Dr. Boniface Makokha takes over Economic Planning Department docket.

This afternoon, CS Hon. FCPA John Mbadi  presided over the handing over and welcoming ceremony for the two newly appointed PSs joining the National Treasury & Economic Planning.

The newly appointed Principal Secretary,  for  Economic Planning Department KE  while taking over the mantle from outgoing Principal Secretary James Muhati in the same docket, during a brief-handover ceremony at the  National Treasury Building, Nairobi, Mr. Makokha said he will continue to capitalise on the goodwill already established  towards provision of  leadership in Economic and Public Finance Management, and development planning for shared growth through formulation, implementation and monitoring of economic, financial and development policies.

Hon. John Mbadi called on the staff to  work together as a team to steer the docket towards achieving its goals, adding that he will be a servant leader dedicated to guide them to continue performing at its optimal level.
Mr. Boniface Makokha (Economic Planning) and Mr. Cyril Odede (Public Investments)  will be accorded the necessary support required to fully perform their duties of nation building, said the CS.

He also took the opportunity to wish Mr. James Muhati the very best in his new role as the Consul-General, Guangzhou, China.

Present were the PS National Treasury Dr. Chris K Kiptoo,CBS,  the outgoing PS planning Mr. James Muhati, Principal Administrative Secretary Mr. Samson Wangusi, DGs, and Senior Ministry officials.
