Courtesy call meeting with the Cabinet Secretary for the Mnistry of Information, Communications & The Digital Economy

Hon. William Kabogo Gitau, the Cabinet Secretary for the  Ministry of Information, Communications & The Digital Economy KE  paid a courtesy call on  Hon. John Mbadi on Thursday, 10th April 2025.

CS Hon. FCPA John Mbadi  emphasized the critical role of Communication, ICT, and the Digital Economy in driving national economic growth and development and noted that these sectors stimulate innovation and enhance productivity, while improved communication and ICT infrastructure expand global connectivity and access to information, services, and markets.

The two Cabinet Secretaries discussed strategies to maximize the use of social media and other digital platforms in creating employment opportunities for the  Kenyan youth. In addition they also discussed the funding of key ICT projects and other programmes.
Hon. Kabogo shared the need to ringfence the funding of key ICT projects to ensure that Kenya achieves her targets to expand connectivity, set up digital hubs and impart citizens with the right digital skills within the set timeline.
