High- level preparatory meeting ahead of the 9th Edition of the Kaptagat Forest Integrated Ecosystem Program.

The National Treasury Principal Secretary, Dr. Chris Kiptoo, CBS, Patron of the Kaptagat Forest Integrated Ecosystem Program, chaired a high- level preparatory meeting with fellow Principal Secretaries and CEOs of partner agencies ahead of the 9th Edition, set for July 2025 at Simotwo Boys High School, Keiyo South- Elgeyo Marakwet. "We are scaling up impact-enhancing livelihoods and boosting the economy in line with the Government's Botton-Up Economic Transformation Agenda," he said.

Present were Principal Secretaries Gitonga  Mugambi ( Forestry), Ummi Bashir (Culture), Jonathan Mueke ( Livestock) and Ephantus Kimotho ( Irrigation); as well as Mohammed Awer ( CEO WWWF- Kenya), Alexander Lemarkoko ( Chief Conservator of Forests,Kenya Forest Service), Lilian Kimeto ( CEO- Kenya Yearbook Editorial Board), and Lt.Gen. (Rtd) Jackson Tuwei( President, Athletics Kenya), among others.
