The 4th meeting of the Project Coordination Committee for the SAFER Project

PS Dr. Chris Kiptoo, CBS, this morning chaired the 4th meeting of the Project Coordination Committee (PCC) for the Supporting Access to Finance and Enterprise Recovery (SAFER) Project.

The PS commended the Project Implementation Unit (PIU), housed at the National Treasury, for effectively coordinating activities aimed at enhancing access to finance for MSMEs.

He noted that the SAFER initiative—implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry, and the Kenya Development Corporation (KDC)—is a critical intervention supporting  resilience of MSMEs, which are vital to economic activity and job creation.

In attendance were Project Coordinator Mr. Charles Musau, World Bank Task Team Leader (TTL) Mr. Ahmed Rostom, and Co-TTL Ms. Lea Kiwara.
