CS Hon. FCPA John Mbadi launches the construction of the Awach Water Project in Seme North Ward, Kisumu County

CS FCPA John Mbadi this afternoon officially launched the construction of the Awach Water Project in Seme North Ward, Kisumu County.

The Ksh287 million project is expected to benefit over 50,000 residents upon completion.

Set to be delivered within 15 months, the initiative is a collaboration between the Financing Locally-Led Climate Action (FLLoCA) @climate_ke program and the Kisumu County Government, with FLLoCA contributing Ksh187 million.

The project includes the construction of a reservoir water pan along River Awach, which will supply water to various kiosks across the ward.

In attendance were Seme MP Dr. James Nyikal, Kisumu Deputy Governor Dr. Mathew Owili, FLLoCA National Programme Coordinator Peter Odhengo,  MCAs and County Executive Members.
